Sathi, meaning 'awareness', looks at the need for peace and initiatives taken to achieve peace and reconciliation. The programmes explore the realities of living in Sri Lanka with its ethnic and cultural diversity and attempt to catalyze audiences to play their part, however small, to help achieve lasting peace on the island. Sathi, along with the Tamil equivalent 'Vilippu', are the only television programmes that have been regularly addressing issues related to the conflict in the language of the communities involved.
