The Reconciliation Series
Produced in 2003,
during the early stages of the peace process in Sri Lanka, this 6 part
documentary series explores different aspects of reconciliation among
communities in the country: the experience and prevailing realities of
the directly-affected; the initiatives of women involved in
peace-building; artistes who discuss the theme through their work; the
views of the Diaspora's on the reconciliation and reconstruction
process.
The
series was produced in collaboration with Canada's Vision TV and with
support from the Governance and Institutional Strengthening Project
(GISP), an initiative of the Canadian International Development Agency
(CIDA) The Reconciliation Series is available in English, Sinhala and
Tamil language versions.
The
Reconciliation Series has been broadcast on television in Sri Lanka
and in Canada on VisionTV. The six half-hour programs is also used by
non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and academic institutions in
seminars, workshops and training programmes.
