HIV/Aids in Sri Lanka

by Thushara Dharmawickrama last modified 2009-03-20 12:00

In 2006, YATV produced a range of TV programmes - talk shows, magazine programmes, and investigative reports - to raise awareness of HIV./Aids in Sri Lanka. These programmes complemented a multi media campaign including radio, and print media interventions. The programmes in the TV series address the issues by challenging misconceptions, dispelling fear, creating awareness on the importance of safe sexual practices and most importantly educating youth.

The campaign was commissioned by the NHAPP of the GOSL, with funding from the World Bank.
