A Good Job?

How can the potential and aspirations of Sri Lankan youth be fulfilled in relation to the labour  market ? How can  existing inequalities be addressed?

How can opportunities be provided for young people to realize their full potential and contribute to the country's economic growth?

These are some of the issues addressed in a series of talk shows in English, Sinhala and Tamil  : A Good Job?  Diverse views and perspectives of experts and youth in Sri Lanka are featured in these talk shows that also include video clips of individuals who have various experiences relating to employment. A Good Job, is adapted from the A Good TV Talk Show  series was produced and broadcast in 2008, and aims to raise awareness and provoke debate on crucial issues relating to Youth and under-employment in the private and public sectors, as well as the plantation and north east areas in Sri Lanka.

Tamil : Employment Issues of Plantation Sector and North East Youth

The TV talk show series, A Good Job, has also been adapted for use as a training tool, accompanied by a facilitators guide. The training video has been designed to be used at various forums as part of discussions with private sector employees, at schools and universities, and at training events.
